Moments after the congressional hearing, Nick Shirley displayed a “Quality Learing Center” hoodie inside the House chambers.
Nick launched the hoodie as part of his merchandise line to promote his work, support his channel, and signal defiance against what he describes as blatant fraud.
The rollout came at a tense moment, amid what Shirley said were credible threats against him following a viral report that appeared to antagonize some Somali immigrants in Minnesota.
He then approached Ilhan Omar’s office and knocked on the door, which was opened by an aide. “Can you please give Ilhan Omar a Quality Learing Hoodie?” Shirley asked, handing over his “gift.”
The visibly unenthusiastic aide accepted the hoodie and retreated inside.
“I hope she likes it. Hopefully she ‘lears’ a little because fraud is bad. Ilhan Omar has her own Quality Learing Center hoodie,” Shirley said as the door swung shut.

During a hearing titled “When Public Funds Are Abused: Addressing Fraud and the Theft of Taxpayer Dollars,” Shirley addressed alleged fraud involving Minnesota’s childcare sector and other federally funded programs.
Nick opened with a brief presentation in defense of American taxpayers, whom he said had been spectacularly swindled of their hard-earned dollars through state-sanctioned schemes.
“I actually became aware of the fraud that was happening in Minnesota in June 2025 as I was there on a separate video,” Shirley explained in his statement.
The 23-year-old journalist recounted how he was later approached by a female realtor in Minnesota who was struggling to sell homes due to the rapid proliferation of assisted living facilities across the state.
According to Shirley, this encounter proved to be a critical smoking gun, ultimately triggering a revealing daycare investigation that attracted millions of views online.
He then fielded questions from committee members, including a representative from California who appeared particularly intrigued by his findings.
In what was largely a cordial exchange, U.S. Representative Kiley of California cited potential instances of fraud in his own state and appeared to invite Shirley to conduct an independent investigation there as well.
Shirley later expressed disappointment that most Democratic members did not attend the hearing, with only one in attendance.
The content creator insisted that fraud is fraud and said he would continue to expose it.
